Medi Assist Manipur at Enrolment Camp for CM-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang Launch

Medi Assist

Chief Minister N Biren Singh launched the Chief Minister-gi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) at Imphal earlier this year in January. The event marked the second such scheme to be flagged off as part of a social security benefit for the people in the state. This revolutionary health insurance scheme initiated by the Chief Minister seeks to provide cashless treatment to those in poverty at Government hospitals, health centres, and also at other empanelled private hospitals.

To drive enrolment for the scheme, a camp was organised by CMO Bishnupur in association with Medi Assist Manipur and Medical Team MLA Moirang AC. 1627 eligible individuals were enrolled at the camp and 800 health cards were issued to those in need.

The Changing Face of TPAs

Prashant Jhaveri, Head, Products and Strategy, Medi Assist Healthcare Services, was recently interviewed by Healthcare Radius, a healthcare magazine for Indian healthcare professionals. Discussing the changing face of health insurance third party administrators (TPA), this is what he had to say:
“TPAs are an integral part of the rapidly evolving healthcare ecosystem – they are the bridge between insurance companies, hospitals and their customers, facilitating seamless access to cashless health insurance benefits. Going by the observable trends in the Indian healthcare industry, the role of TPAs is only going to widen in the years to come.
TPAs play the unique role of an aggregator in the industry; they empanel hospitals into their network to enable cashless hospitalization for their members. TPAs bring insurance companies, hospitals, ambulatory healthcare service providers, pharmacies, corporates, and individuals together, and as the single point of contact for all of them, they manage a wide web of interactions seamlessly.
TPAs that can aggregate a wide spectrum of service providers will be in a position to attract many more consumers of healthcare. Service providers are also more willing to partner with TPAs that have a wide customer-base in a bid to reach out to a larger segment of the market”.To read the complete article, click here.

Medi Assist Redefines Corporate Employee Engagement with ChampCamp

ChampCamp, the proprietary social engagement program from Medi Assist that promotes awareness of health benefits and self-help tools among partner organizations through fun-filled activities, was recently covered by Pharmabiz.com. The following is the article written by the online pharmacy news platform. You can also click here to read the full article.

“Medi Assist, the Bengaluru-based managed healthcare organization, has introduced ChampCamp, an interactive format that combines health benefits and wellness engagement for corporates. The year-old initiative has now resulted in as much as a 40% increase in employee participation in onsite health benefits programmes at companies including Wipro, Flipkart, Infosys, Snapdeal and JSW Steel.

“Health benefits like group medical insurance or corporate wellness programmes, are a key retention strategy for corporates. HR managers also see a direct correlation between workplace wellness, well-being of family members and employee productivity. But, HR executives often grapple with lack of awareness among employees about the benefits available to them. Low levels of participation in wellness events also result in sub-optimal utilization of wellness budgets,” said Satish Gidugu, COO, Medi Assist.

“ChampCamp which has registered over 1 lakh employees at some of India leading corporate campuses imparts critical information about health through thematic games and social engagement,” he added.

Persona-based, targeted communication appeals to the different audience profiles among employees. Group fitness challenges encourage people to bring their friends along; thematic games engage participants while they gather for wellness programmes at their campuses and social engagement activities convert plain-vanilla camps into an event that employees can cherish with post-event photos and videos. Companies that have experienced ChampCamp are unanimous in their opinion that the format delivers employee delight, he noted”.

100+ Occupational Health Centres… And Going Strong

Onsite health centre

Medi Assist recently reached the milestone of running over 100 Occupational Health Centres (OHCs) across India successfully. This makes us larger than some of India’s largest chains of clinics in the country. Here is a brief illustration of what Medi Assist’s OHCs, MediClinics are all about. Why onsite medical care? You want your workforce to stay fit and healthy. You may also need to ensure regular medical support to your employees as per requisite statutory norms. However, frequent visits from your employees for medical tests may hamper their productivity, thereby affecting your organization’s revenues. Why not bring MediClinic to your campus?

What is a MediClinic?

The Medi Assist MediClinic is an Occupational Health Centre (OHC) which provides professional medical help to your employees on your campus. MediClinic not only helps in ensuring round-the-clock medical services to your workforce but significantly enhances employee productivity while optimizing costs on medical care. The general services provided by the MediClinic include medical manpower in the form of doctors and nurses for the primary care of onsite injuries, ambulance and life support services for advanced care, medicines and equipment, bio-medical waste management and internal audits.

Medi Assist also provides the MediClinic software which allows the OHC personnel to capture valuable data such as walk-in details and medicines prescribed to the patient. The software helps the corporate HR gain important insights by providing monthly MIS reports, electronic health records and trend analysis for common ailments people suffer from. The information pertaining to these walk-ins is also available to individual employees on their personal MediBuddy which can be accessed either from the portal or app. MediClinic for data-driven wellness services. Based on the data recorded at the OHC, ailments can be grouped under various categories. The HR can then decide the type of wellness service that needs to be provided for the company’s employees. Medi Assist works with the organization to extend our wellness services offerings to them accordingly. For example, Medi Assist has worked with organizations to run sessions on eye/dental checkup, physician consultation, dietician consultation, lifestyle management programs and vaccinations for Influenza and viral ailments.Achievements we are proud to showcase. The following is a testimonial we received at one of our previous OHCs.

“Today we saved the life of a cardiac arrest person. She had cardiac arrest and fits and she was in a very critical state. At that moment her life was saved due to the quick, thoughtful, committed action from the following people and I want to thank them and appreciate them“.
